These photos are from a kitchen project that was done under a home modification loan. The client approached CWPCC to install cabinets that were to be purchased from a large home improvement store. Before the kitchen was purchased CWPCC was able to come up with a similar design and provide a superior product and still stay with in the budget limitations of the kitchen project. Cabinet concepts has the ability to provide cabinet systems with a wide range of pricing from budget friendly kitchens to high end kitchens.

Mudroom Cabinetry

CWPCC recently completed a mudroom renovation. As you will see from the photos the area the client was trying to fill was an entry way from her driveway into her basement and the family’s main entrance. The area had a narrow walkway and a raised storage area with no organization at all. Cabinet Concepts designed a cabinet system that not only created storage, organization and functional space but still was able to incorporate the entire large space into the design. If you look closely at the photos there is a step in the raised area for access to the upper portion. CWPCC used custom sized cabinetry to create a dividing wall of storage cabinets in-between the walkway and the back storage area. While the cabinetry was placed on top of the raised wall, the doors were built taller to create the illusion that the cabinets were full height. Five doors were hung, but only four cabinets were installed, creating an opening behind the one door to access the deep storage area to store outdoor couch cushions, Christmas decorations, and other seasonal times. The cabinetry was finished off with crown and base moulding to complete the look of the full height cabinetry. In addition to the mudroom cabinetry, another storage cabinet with the same style was installed in an adjacent room as well as a custom closet interior for game storage for the kids. CWPCC’s client was thrilled with the designs and the ideas that owner Joe Cerami envisioned and has asked him to design a custom wall unit and bench area for her home. Cabinet Reface Recently completed

CWPCC recently finished a complete reface to a dated kitchen bringing new life to a kitchen and living room with new doors, moulding and counter tops. When we first began this project the idea was to keep the cost down while still increasing the value of the home. After assessing the cabinetry during a CWPCC free in-home consultation, owner Joe Cerami came to the conclusion that the cabinetry was still intact and in good condition and the kitchen was a prime candidate for a cabinet reface. Exact measurements were taken of all doors and drawer fronts, cabinet runs for moulding and refrigerator panels to be replaced. During the measuring process the client was given actual color samples to choose from as opposed to choosing from a catalog of colors, as well as stone samples brought directly to the home during the consultation. Before any doors were ordered a sample door in the door and style the client chose was ordered and approved upon receipt. Once the reface began, CWPCC employees removed all of the door and drawer fronts, as well as old hinges and rehung all of the doors with new hinges and mounted new drawer fronts to existing drawers. The refrigerator cabinet was removed to replace the two side panels to match the new color and look of the cabinetry. In addition to the new doors and fronts, new crown moulding and light rail under the upper cabinets were installed to finish off the cabinetry. The final step in the process was the removal of existing Corian countertops that was replaced with Cambria natural stone. As to not extend the time frame too long CWPCC’s preferred stone company/ supplier was brought in to do a template of the existing countertops beforehand so that while the reface was in progress the installation of the countertops could take place as well. From start to finish the turnaround time for this large kitchen reface was approximately 5 days, with little to no downtime in functionality for the kitchen. Each night the kitchen was cleaned by CWPCC employees and was usable in the evening. In addition to refacing the kitchen, the cabinet style and color was brought into the living room as well, replacing the cabinet doors, re- veneering the end panels and adding a stone facade to the fire place. Overall the client was extremely happy with the project. Posted are a few photos of the project before and after.

Recently completed in Basking Ridge, NJ: A Complete Kitchen Renovation

CWPCC recently completed a full kitchen makeover in Basking Ridge, NJ. We worked with the clients through every step of the process from the design of the new kitchen layout, to demolition, straight through installation. The clients wanted to update their kitchen which, as you can see from the before pictures, was a standard builder’s kitchen, in need of some TLC. The clients wanted to bring warmth and depth to the room and chose cherry cabinets from Conestoga Wood Specialties. When accented with a large crown moulding, the cabinets gave the illusion of added height in room and added richness to the kitchen. The mitered door, style number CRP-10875, with a harvest gold finish with brown glaze, paired with double diamond mullion glass doors, give the kitchen a classic, traditional look. The visual centerpiece of the room is the cherry kitchen island in an heirloom crystal white finish with coffee glaze, which contrasts the color of the cabinets beautifully. The island was created to allow for an overhang for additional seating, but was carefully designed to ensure that proper walkway clearance was maintained. Other details in the kitchen that should not be overlooked are the range hood, built in microwave, standard rollouts in several base cabinets and bead board at the island and open cabinetry. Kitchen Cabinet Reface

Here are a few photos of a recent cabinet reface Cabinet Concepts did in Long Branch NJ. CWPCC was contracted to bring new life into a standard builder’s grade kitchen that became run down looking in a short period of time. After seeing that the cabinets were in good shape, it was CWPCC’s recommendation to do a standard cabinet reface. Prior to beginning the onsite reface, measurements were taken for all of the doors throughout the kitchen as well as the additional panels on the exterior of the island that were added to give a more finished, refined look to the kitchen. The CRP-10875 door style was ordered from Conestoga for the doors and panels. Upon arriving at the jobsite to begin the project, all of the cabinet doors and drawer fronts were removed and the front edges of the cabinets were carefully sanded and resurfaced onsite to match the color of the new cabinet doors. A few added custom touches like color matching outside corners of the island to give the island a more full and rich look. Matching crown moulding and light rail were added to complete the kitchen project. The homeowner was so pleased with the job in the kitchen that they decided to move right into refacing the bathroom vanities throughout the house. The homeowners were able to select the colors from a wide range of color options that Conestoga and CWPCC offer, each to complement the existing color scheme of the bathrooms and chose several different colors and style doors for each of the bathrooms.

Kitchen Cabinet Storage

A kitchen has many functions in the home, but if it is disorganized and cluttered then it cannot function well. Kitchens house a variety of items: food, both perishable and non-perishable, cooking and serving utensils, large and small appliances, pots and pans, mixing bowls, cookie sheets, dishes, glasses, flatware, etc, the list goes on and on. It is often an insurmountable task to find a place for everything we need in our kitchens. There are many different storage options now available to help us keep our kitchens organized. Pull-out storage in lower cabinets can increase a cabinets usable space dramatically by utilizing the vertical space within a cabinet. Pull out lifts can store heavy small appliances, like mixers under cabinets, but then lift them to counter height when needed. Drawer dividers and spice racks can keep small items neat and orderly inside a drawer. Lazy susans installed inside a corner cabinet offer a unique way to utilize an awkward corner. Just like the many items we need to keep in our kitchen, the possibilities are endless to help us keep these things in order.

Recycling Kitchen Cabinets

A client of mine recently expressed to me, “I have these high quality cabinets in my kitchen, but we really just don’t like them. We knew that when we bought the house that we would eventually replace them, but I am struggling with the idea of putting them in the dumpster.” Many clients can’t rationalize the idea of throwing away perfectly good cabinets and there is no reason to trash them. A basement, mudroom, laundry room or even your garage can become your unwanted kitchen cabinets new home. CWP Cabinet Concepts can preserve your cabinets during the kitchen demolition so that they can be repurposed in another area of your house. We can install the kitchen cabinets in another location or even in multiple locations in your home to meet you needs. If you don’t have the need for them, you could probably find a family member or friend who could use them. You might also be able to donate them to your local house of worship or other community organization.
